Frequently asked questions

What documents do I need to rent in Dubai?

You will usually need your passport and residence visa or Emirates ID, and a signed tenancy contract. Companies normally also provide a trade licence. Your ASICO property officer confirms the exact list for each unit.

How is rent paid?

Annual rent in Dubai is commonly paid by one or more post-dated cheques or by bank transfer, depending on what the landlord agrees. Each listing page shows the amount per cheque for 1, 2, 4 and 12 payments.

What are the upfront costs?

Plan for a refundable security deposit, an agency fee, the Ejari registration fee and utility connection deposits. The rent calculator gives an estimate, and the final figures are confirmed in your tenancy contract.

Can I view a property first?

Yes. Use the viewing request on any listing, or call or message the property officer shown on that listing to book a time.

Do you manage properties for owners?

Yes. ASICO handles leasing, tenant relations, renewals, maintenance coordination, rent collection and reporting. See the Owners section to list your property.
